Here is my debut of wardrobe styling of ‘The Ring Master” and his “Muse” for the epic story “Death of a Clown”
This Shoot was an absolute adrenaline rush just like the rest. However each time a new character comes on board for me to style, I get heightened in my excitement to create “Clown Couture”. The style that was created for the ring master and his “Muse was inspired by the: Baroque, Victorian, and Edwardian periods. The focus I wanted to create in the wardrobe was one who displayed a debonair, smooth, well put together man. I chose the color Blue because I wanted him to evoke the style of a Great entertainer who likes to be the center of attention. As you can see with his pin and prop, he stands by the Laugh now, Cry later symbol. As for his “Muse” I was able to pull in the ruffles, polka dotted scarf, and black velvet jacket that created “A soft, bubbly, and dark” Feel.
I hope you all enjoy, and if you get a chance, please share with your friends and family.
All clothes were provided by “Vintage by Judith Costumes” in Marietta, Ga.

Hello good Friends of DOAC fashion editorials. I am about to release a new Character’s costume “The Ringmaster” I hope you all enjoy it thoroughly. I know I did styling it! Stay tuned!

DOAC.. What can I say about this epic, intelligent, creatively, colorful, masterpiece in the making?
Well first, I’m very humbled to be apart of this project. It is so much fun working with the DOAC crew and cast. This is by far one of my most exhilarating projects I have worked on; other than one of my own series “Cultured Pearl”.. (Smile)
The style’s I have been influenced to use in this project are from the ancient times, the late 1800’s, Victorian period, stylish 30’s, Civil war, and today’s current fashions . I am sure I will be adding some more style era’s as the character list will grow. I believe when you put any of these looks together with one another you will come up with a pretty unique but quaint style of each era. All these looks are of quality and hold a particular measure in their pursuit to WOW your inner style sense..
I hope you enjoy, this is the first of many… Thank you for your support!

Well the 1940’s were indeed an independent beginning for women. When men went off to the war, women had to pick up the slack and work as well as take care of their families by working in factories, and other kinesthetic roles that men played before they went off to war. So in turn the women traded their glamorous clothing looks in for wartime utility looks. but not their hairstyles, they stayed fly! = ) and when the war was over and the men returned home, they had to give up their positions back to men.
Well women were very much liberated with independence in their time of taking over the roles of the men while they were away at war. But I’m sure they were just as elated to return to their fashion sense. That is when Christian Dior came up with “The New Look” . It conveyed silhouette’s that were proportioned and emphasized the “Waist” as well as other best assets. Just a few photos to see the transition form the 1940’s utility clothing to the Christian Dior “New Look” .

We will be right back with a “New Look” ..

Modern 1940’s inspired by Christian Dior’s “New Look” Collection

Well, I think what’s next is what we determine it to be. I like to highlight the Byzantine period and it’s fine Jewelry choices. This era is very BOLD and Ornate in their jewelry design choices & clothing. Altogether it is captured as one of the most intriguing Ornamental times/eras in MY opinion, because there is so much to pull from. If you want to do a simple Byzantine silk tunic and a ornate jeweled head piece for a classic look; Then so be it, or if you want to go all out with a bronze brocade printed skirt that is paired up with a Printed Turquoise clergy shirt, and Magenta nylon tights, be my guess. It is what ever you make it. Just remember to feel Good While you look good. Others will then catch on and follow. Be the trendsetter that you all are.
